SING WITH US

Nick Page liberates the old model of the sing-along, bringing choral groups and audiences together singing powerful songs from many cultures.

WITH Voices joined in community - Your singers and audience singing together

US Your singers (university choir, community chorale, school chorus, childrenšs choir, church or synagogue choir, or simply an elementary classroom.)

Herešs how it works: Nick Page sends the appropriate music ahead of time for your singers to learn. Nick has a way of choosing the right music then teaching it to audiences in a way that creates great confidence and energy.

Nick provides the materials for you to promote the event as a huge community celebration uniting everyone in song.

Just before the concert, Nick rehearses with your singers (and perhaps leads other sings and workshops as part of a residency).

Nick joins your singers on stage. At the concert, your singers perform some pieces by themselves (perhaps a piece by Nick Page - perhaps a commission) and then Nick joins them onstage leading the songs your singers rehearsed already plus a few surprises to keep it all spontaneous - like a little jazz choral improvisation.

In other words, this not your typical sing-along.

Nickšs repertoire celebrates many styles and cultures: Jazz, Classical, Popular, World, Gospel, plus simple sing-along songs in Hebrew, Arabic, Italian, Spanish, German, Zulu, and Latin.

Here is a sample of the range of groups Nick has worked with: The White Heron Chorale in Appleton, WI (Richard Bjella), Glen Ellyn Childrenšs Choir in IL (Emily Ellsworth), Daniel Webster Elementary School in Marshfield, MA (Rebecca Dinsmore), Cal State LA (Dr. William Belan), Valley Forge (PA) Middle & Senior High (Ann Sprissler and Sharon Pott), Children In Harmony Choral Festival at Disneyworld (Dr. Barbara M. Tagg), Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls, SD, Chicago Childrenšs Choir (Josephine Lee), Indianapolis Childrenšs Choir (Henry Leck), plus sings at ACDA, OMEA, MENC, UUA, and many other conventions. These have included residencies, formal evening concerts, Sunday afternoon family concerts, Sunday morning worship services, and weekday school assemblies (the Elgin Childrenšs Chorus hosts an annual event for 2,000 sixth graders).

In addition to his song leading, Nick is an active clinician, presenting workshops on multiple intelligence and multicultural issues. He has over thirty published choral works (Boosey & Hawkes and World Music Press) with many commissions under his belt. From 1983 to 1986 Nick was a conductor with the Chicago Childrenšs Choir and he currently directs the Mystic Chorale of Boston, a group he founded in 1990.
